"Heated Rivalry" crushed the competition at the Canadian Screen Awards scripted television ceremony Saturday night, taking home 13 awards including best supporting performer and best original music.

Creator Jacob Tierney won twice — for best direction and best writing for a drama — adding to his victories Friday night at the unscripted ceremony, where he won best reality/competition series as executive producer on "The Traitors Canada."

The Crave series, which premiered last year and has become a worldwide hit, follows the romance between two hockey players portrayed by Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie. Sophie Nélisse won for best supporting performer as Williams' girlfriend. Singer Peter Peter took home two awards for best original music in a drama and best song for "It's You."

CBC and Netflix's "North of North," a comedy set in Nunavut, led overall nominations with 20 but picked up seven wins Saturday, including best ensemble performance. The series stars Anna Lambe as a young Inuk mother seeking more out of her day-to-day life in the fictional town of Ice Cove. Co-stars Maika Harper and Tanya Tagaq won for supporting and guest performances respectively.

The Screen Awards continue through Sunday with the marquee ceremony hosted by comedian Andrew Phung, where "Heated Rivalry" and "North of North" will compete for best series.
