HighOnCity is a Canadian local news and city-information publication covering six cities — Toronto, Vancouver, Montréal, Calgary, Ottawa, and Edmonton. We track what's happening across each city — events, restaurant and venue openings, local news, weather, and the day's most worthwhile picks — and bring it together in a single, fast, no-fluff portal.
What we do
HighOnCity covers each city every day: what the council decided, what the police, fire and transit services are saying, what is opening, what is on tonight, and what any of it means for the people who live there. That information is scattered across municipal feeds, agency releases, court and regulatory records, venue sites and dozens of local outlets. We gather it, trace it back to the sources it came from, and publish one clear daily read for each city.

How we work
We cover six cities with a small team. To do that, we use software, including automated language systems, to help gather and organize source material, flag potential issues with figures and other factual claims, and draft copy. These systems operate within editorial parameters set and maintained by Power Brand Ca., and editorial responsibility for the publication rests with the company.
