Khatsahlano Street Party is back Saturday, July 11, taking over West 4th Avenue between Burrard and Macdonald Streets in Kitsilano for one of the city's largest free music and arts festivals.
The day runs 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and features over 50 musical acts curated by Zulu Records, all hailing from British Columbia. The Burrard Stage will host Vancouver rock acts including Uncle Strut, neo-soul fusion group Felisha and the Jazz Rejects, and punk rockers Concrete Vehicles. The MacDonald Stage, presented by Daily Hive and Third.Space, showcases glam-pop innovator Art d'Ecco, queer Filipinx rap and soul artist Kimmortal, and psych-prog outfit Brass Camel. The Balsam Stage will feature punk group The Infirmary, grunge act worrywart, and shoegaze stars Sundress.
At Khats Kids Stage on Trafalgar Street, all-ages entertainment, interactive games, and immersive activities keep families engaged. Multiple beverage gardens dot the 10 blocks, and the festival promises over 50 food truck options alongside West 4th favourites and patios. Chapman's Ice Cream Chill Zone and Tacofino Garden (with tacos and margaritas) offer refreshment. Beyond food, expect 10 blocks of local vendors, merchant pop-ups, live art and selfie stations, Wonderland Craft stations, and a White Rabbit Scavenger Hunt.
The festival, themed "Khatsahlano Wonderland" and presented by the Kitsilano West 4th Avenue Business Improvement Association, is free. The full music lineup is available online.
