Nature's Path Organic Foods, based in Richmond, is distributing $45,000 in grants through its sixteenth annual Gardens for Good program, supporting fifteen organic community gardens and urban farming projects across Canada and the United States.

The program awards $3,000 to each selected organization—five projects in Canada, ten in the U.S. Applications are open now through July 7, 2026.

Nature's Path prioritizes funding for gardens and projects serving underrepresented and underserved communities, provided they are registered non-profit organizations located in either country.

Since launching in 2010, the Gardens for Good program has awarded more than $1 million in grants to nearly 150 organic community gardens across North America. The program aims to improve food access, education, and community connection.

"We believe more communities should have access to organic food and the nourishment it provides," said Jyoti Stephens, vice-president of mission and strategy at Nature's Path. "We're proud to continue backing organizations creating meaningful, community-led change."

Organic farming prioritizes soil health, biodiversity, and sustainable practices while avoiding toxic pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, and genetically modified organisms. More information about the Gardens for Good grants is available on Nature's Path's website.
