Bell is returning to Canadian NHL broadcasts next season, but not the way longtime hockey fans might expect. The company will stream games on Crave, its streaming service, rather than on TSN where it once held national rights.

According to NHL insider David Pagnotta, the Canadian broadcast landscape is expanding. Amazon Prime games are moving from Monday to Wednesday, while Bell's Crave takes over the Monday slot. Sportsnet continues Saturday broadcasts and will add Thursday night games. The shift marks a significant restructuring after years of Sportsnet holding exclusive national rights.

TSN has been shut out of national broadcasts once again, though the channel retains regional rights for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Montreal Canadiens, Winnipeg Jets, and Ottawa Senators. It remains unclear who will announce games on Crave, though Bell's ownership suggests TSN announcers like Gord Miller and Bryan Mudryk could be involved.

Crave subscriptions cost $11.99 monthly with ads or $22 without. The move reflects broader industry trends toward streaming platforms fragmenting sports broadcast rights across multiple services.
