Health Canada issued a recall Wednesday for two popular nicotine pouch brands — ZYN and Siberia — over lack of market authorization. The products were never approved for safety, efficacy, or quality, making them illegal to sell, import, or advertise in Canada.

The affected products include all lots of Siberia 35 mg pouches in super slim, white dry, power white, and white slim flavours. ZYN 6 mg pouches are recalled in cool mint, wintergreen, spearmint, menthol, chill, and peppermint.

If you use either brand, Health Canada advises checking your product against the recall list and consulting a healthcare provider if you have any health concerns. Users can contact the recalling firm with questions or report side effects and safety complaints to Health Canada directly.

This is classified as a Type II recall, meaning use or exposure may cause temporary adverse health consequences — or remote risk of serious harm. It's not an immediate emergency, but it is a signal that these products operated outside regulatory oversight.
