Stellantis is recalling 106,258 Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator vehicles across Canada due to a fire hazard in the power steering system.

The recall affects model years 2021 through 2025. The issue stems from a faulty electrical connection in the electric hydraulic power steering pump wiring that could overheat. While fires are rare, the company is asking owners to park their vehicles away from other cars and buildings as a precaution.

The recall is part of a global effort affecting more than a million vehicles. Stellantis said it will have a fix in place no later than July. The same defect has prompted recalls of more than 23,000 vehicles in Mexico and over 120,000 outside North America.

Owners of affected vehicles should contact their Jeep dealer or Stellantis Canada for repair scheduling.
