Student assaulted with weapon at Lester B. Pearson High School

Police arrested a suspect Thursday after one student assaulted another with a weapon at Lester B. Pearson High School in northeast Calgary.

The incident occurred just after noon in the Pineridge neighbourhood. The victim sustained minor injuries that did not require hospitalization.

The school was placed under lockdown while police located and arrested the suspect. The lockdown was lifted approximately one hour after officers arrived on scene.
