Pierre-Laporte Bridge closes nights of Aug 26–31 for pavement repairs

The Pierre-Laporte Bridge will undergo partial nighttime closures August 26–31 to repair the roadway surface.
Two of three lanes will close in alternating directions each night. Northbound closures run Wednesday August 26, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Thursday; Thursday August 27, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Friday; and Friday August 28, 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. Saturday. Southbound closures are Saturday August 29, 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. Sunday; Sunday August 30, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday; and Monday August 31, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Tuesday.
Exit 132 (Boulevard Champlain) will close completely during northbound work Wednesday and Thursday. During southbound work Saturday and Sunday, access to the bridge from Boulevard Champlain will close completely. Detour routes are available via Highway 73, Avenue de Rochebelle, and Boulevard Hochelaga.
Speed limits drop to 70 km/h during repairs. The Ministry of Transport warns that congestion is expected and recommends drivers allow extra time.
