The UFC is scrapping its pay-per-view model in Canada in favour of a streaming-exclusive deal with Paramount+.

Under a six-year agreement starting January 2027, all UFC numbered-event main cards — typically priced at $69.99 for PPV — will be available exclusively to Paramount+ subscribers. The lowest-tier subscription costs $7.99 monthly, making championship bouts accessible to a much broader audience.

The promotion is framing the shift as fan-friendly, and it mirrors a seven-year deal the UFC announced last year for the U.S., Latin America, and Australia. David Shaw, the UFC's executive vice-president for international content, said the partnership with Paramount represents "the evolution of our brand" and gives fans "a really fan-friendly opportunity." The 13 annual numbered events typically feature championship bouts and the promotion's biggest stars.

Sportsnet and TVA in Quebec will retain domestic broadcast rights for preliminary bouts on numbered cards and the 30 UFC Fight Night events each year. The UFC will announce which events stream first on Paramount+ later this year.
