Update — July 29, 2026: OC Transpo General Manager Rick Leary will hold a series of customer information sessions across Ottawa this summer to discuss service enhancements and the Customer-First Action Plan designed to support increased ridership this fall. Sessions are scheduled for July 28, August 11, August 13, August 19, and August 25 at various locations and via webinar, where residents can learn about major service improvements and share feedback.
Ottawa's transit boss says he feels "very comfortable" with OC Transpo's ability to handle an anticipated influx of traffic this fall, driven largely by the latest federal return-to-office mandate.
The transit system is preparing for the surge in commuters as public service employees head back to their offices after months of remote work policies.
