Update — August 13, 2026: One man sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the shooting, which occurred around 1:30 a.m. on Belisle Street. No one is currently in custody and police are seeking information from the public.
Ottawa police are investigating a shooting on Belisle Street in Vanier South on Wednesday, August 5, around 1:30 a.m., after officers responded to multiple reports of gunshots.
One man was transported to hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening. Police say they believe the shooting was targeted. No one is in custody.

This is one incident the Guns and Gangs Unit is investigating in the Vanier area this summer. As HighOnCity reported in June, shots were fired into an east-end home under investigation at that time.
