A third suspect has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting in Etobicoke four years ago that left two men dead and a woman injured.
The Mississauga man was arrested by Windsor police on Saturday, August 22, and was due to appear in a Toronto courtroom on August 26. He has been charged with two counts of second-degree murder in the deaths of Minyali Wur, 24, and Chudier Reat, 20, both of Mississauga. He is also charged with one count of attempted murder.
The shooting occurred on January 3, 2022, in the area of Lake Shore Boulevard West and Thirtieth Street. Police were called around 8:45 p.m. and found two men and a woman with injuries. All three were taken to hospital, where the men died. The woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
A Brampton man was charged with accessory after the fact to murder and surrendered to police on July 1, 2022. A second suspect, from Peel Region, was arrested on January 8, 2025, with help from Windsor police and Toronto police's emergency task force. He was charged with two counts of second-degree murder, possession of a loaded restricted firearm, and possession of a firearm contrary to order.
