Okotoks' annual parade returns Saturday, June 20, on a new route due to downtown construction.
The procession will march eastward along Milligan Drive from Veterans Way to Crystal Ridge Drive, beginning at 10 a.m. This year's theme is "Movin' and Groovin'." Parking near the parade route will be limited, and the Town encourages visitors to park downtown or at the Lions Campground. Free shuttles run before and after the parade; details are available at okotoks.ca/parade.
Before the parade, the Okotoks Lions Club holds its annual pancake breakfast in Ball Diamond 10 from 8 to 10 a.m., with proceeds supporting local charities. Admission is by donation.
Following the parade, the Children's Festival takes over the rec centre grounds from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., featuring magicians, music, performers, and activities for families.
